jointly organised by the European Colloid and Interface Society and the Deutsche Kolloidgesellschaft.

The 25th European Colloid and Interface Society meeting, which will be held in Berlin, Germany, is organised by the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam/Golm in close cooperation with the TU Berlin. The meeting is a joined event of ECIS and the German Colloid Society. It will follow the tradition of the series of ECIS conferences and biannual meetings of the "Deutsche Kolloidgesellschaft" in the past, to provide a podium for scientists from fundamental and applied science and particularly promote the work of young scientists in this important scientific field.
The venue for the ECIS 2011 is the Main Building of the Technical University Berlin in the center of the German capital.
We are happy also to announce a pre-conference ECIS Training Course “Surfactants and polymers in aqueous solution” given by Prof. Björn Lindman from the Chemical Centre, Lund, Sweden. Please see "Program".
In parallel to our Annual Meeting the "Jahrestagung der Deutschen Bodenkundlichen Gesellschaft" is organised in the main building of the TU Berlin. The program of this meeting might also be interesting for you. Please visit the respective website. Note, on Thursday afternoon we have scheduled a joined session between ECIS and DBG with lecturers of both conferences.
The recent ECIS conferences were organized also with support of COST. This year, we have a number of sessions organized by the groups of the COST action D43.
